Wayland races to success

Most six year olds play with standard toy cars and imagine themselves on a race track. For Wayland this was his reality.

Putting the pedal to the metal.

Wayland is the son of a very proud father here at Remote Off-Site Monitoring. Roy Wyman ( ROM founder ) has watched his little boy grow into a racing star. He offers all the support and love a father could offer to ensure Wayland can reach his full potential and make it into the rankings along with the top dogs.

From Benoni to Brazil.

The Wyman wonder.

Wayland Wyman has been racing from the incredible age of 6 years old and has had his pedal to the metal ever since. This young Benonian is taking the raceway by storm. He started out racing in the GP Junior 60cc class and has since moved into the DD2 kart.

“This is the first time I’ve managed to win the Africa Open in my 11 years of karting.

In 2018 at the Pretoria Zwartkops Raceway Wayland won the Rotax African Open Senior Karting Championship. This win ensured his seat in the Rotax World Finals in Brazil.

At the age of only 16, Wayland took part in his very first Grand Finals to then went on to take a spot on the starting line in the World Championship. Unfortunately, he fell just short of the final round.

He did, however, make a big comeback in 2019 as the  17-year-old  reclaimed the title in the wildcard Rotax Max African Open winner-take-all Senior Max Champion.
